| ANNUAL REPORT 2006 – 07 |
I have great pleasure in presenting the Annual Report on this day , 26th
January 2007 on “ The Educational and Extra Curricular Activities “ of SHRI
VIDYA NIKETAN SCHOOL & P . U . COLLEGE , Bilishivale for the
academic year 2006 – 07 , to our chief guest Mr.CHANDRAIYA , Secretriate,
Educational Department , Government of Karnataka , our Chairman Dr. J.
Perumal, M.B.A., Ph.D., our Administrator Mrs . Geetha , parents &
teachers.
The academic year 2006 – 07 commenced on 1st June 2006 in this new
building . By the grace of God , this year we built the new five storey building
and started the classes in the new building. Dear parents, well wishers,
please pray the almighty to complete the School building works early.
The school management is run by The Secretary , SHRI SRINIVASA
EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL TRUST, No.14 / 2 , Mariamman Temple
Street , Jai Bharath Nagar , Banglore -33.
The students strength for the current year is 265. We have on roll 18
teaching and 6 non teaching staff rendering their services with high motto
and dedication.We facilitate our students to grow in faith , besides the
academics with morning , noon and evening prayers. Along with that
curricular activities , ethical training are also given to our students.
“Games are impartant as studies “ . Kyalasanahalli & Thanisandra Clusters
Level Sports & Games 2006 – 07 was held on 27-07-’06 and 28-07-’06 at
Thanisandra. 24 students participated in Volley Ball , Kabaddi , Relay-
Running , and Long Jump from our school and that brought good recognition
to the school.
“Knowledge Olympiad 2006 National Level Talent Test in G.K. & I.Q. “ were
conducted in the school on 12-08-’06 by Knowledge Society , Institute of
General Studies , Hyderabad. 33 students participated and came out with
flying colours ie. with 21 distinction and with 12 first class. Thanks to the
teacher incharge Ms. VALARMATHY, B.Com.,
The Independence Day was celebrated on 15-08-’06 , was presided by our
Chairman Dr. J. PERUMAL, M.B.A., Ph.D., . The flag was hoisted by our
Administrator Mrs . GEETHA . Mrs. RATINDER SEBIA , Chandihar, Mr.
RAMESH -Ex – Panchayat President , Doddagubbi , Mr. SUBRAMANI ,
Councellor, Kyalasanahalli were the chairpersons. The four house students
procession started at 10 o’clock. All students , teachers , staff and members
of the management participated in the celebration . Several students spoke
on the title “Independence Day” graced the occasion further. The school
felicitated students by awarding prizes to the rank holders.
We encourage students to participate in activities outside school too . One
such was Iskcon Festival Contest 2006 – 07, held from July 18th 2006 to
August 5th 2006 at Iskcon Temple. 82 students participated in various
cultural activities, ie. painting , drawing , pencil shading , cooking , classical
dance , and fancy dress competitions and came out in flying colours.
The Teachers Day was celebrated on 5-09 2006. Our Chairman Dr. J.
PERUMAL, M.B.A., Ph.D.,& family honoured all the teachers. Thanks to
them on behalf of the teachers.
The Children’s Day was celebrated on 14-11-2006. We conducted games
like Throw Ball for girls and Volley Ball for boys. All the students ,teachers ,
staff and members of the management participated in the celebration.
Sweets distributed to all students and teachers by the management.
The Parent – teachers meetings were held on 05-08-‘06 , 04-09-‘06 , 14-10-
‘06 , 9-12-‘06 and 20-01-’07 respectively. The exam answer papers of the
students were given to the parents to enable them to know better about their
children.
Computers are being used in all activities. Our school conducts computer
classes, weekly twice for all classes free. We wish to achieve several
milestones in the following years.
Teachers Seminor was conducted by Mr. & Mrs . RATINDER SEBIA ,
Chandihar on 8 – 7 – ’06.
Free General Medical Camp was conducted at our school on 17-12-‘06 by
M.S. Ramaiya Medical and Teaching Hospital. This was organized by Kristu Jayanthi College Ist MSW students Ms. SONIA CHATTERGEE and group.
Camp was presided by Mr. LAKSHMINARAYANA , M.S.W., L.L.B.,Head of
the department, M.S. Ramaiya Medical and Teaching Hospital. Mr.ANIL
KUMAR, Chairman, Doddagubbi Panchayat , Mr.SRINIVAS , Vice Chairman,
Doddagubbi Panchayat were the chair persons. 30 specialist in Bones ,
Dental , Women’s Health , ENT , Skin Doctors screened nearly 350 patients
and referred them for further free treatment to M.S. Ramaiya Medical and
Teaching Hospital . This camp was helpful to the local residents. We thank
them.
Educational Tour for students of III to X to Mysore Zoo, Palace , Srirangam
Temple , Tippu Sultan Palace & Chamundi Hill was arranged on 27-12-‘ 06.
Thanks to the teachers, especially to Mr. MURTHY , M.A., & Mr. ANANTHA
RAJU, M.A.,B.Ed., in charge of educational tour , for their efforts and
arrangements.
Polio Drops camp for kids under 5 years was organized by the Government
of Karnataka on 8th January 2007 at our school.
The Annual Sports and Cultural Day were held on 11th, 12th, 13th January
2007 respectively and presided by our Chairman Dr. J. PERUMAL, M.B.A.,
Ph.D., . The competitions for students were conducted in various activities
to improve students skill and personality level in athletics , Kho-kho , Volley
Ball , Throw Ball , Kabaddi , Education and general knowledge. In addition
to sports we also conducted Elocution, Quiz and Fancy Dress competions,
to stimulate the interest and involvement of our students in current affairs.
Thanks to the teacher Mr. B.M. MURTHY, M.A., in charge of sports &
cultural competitions.
The Republic Day was celebrated today , 26-01-’07 by hoisting the National
Flag . The Flag was hoisted by Mr. RAMESH -Ex – Panchayat President ,
Doddagubbi . It was presided by our Chairman Dr. J. PERUMAL, M.B.A.,
Ph.D., Sweets distributed to all
students and teachers by Mr. MUNIAPPA , Parent, Doddagubbi and Mr.
SRINIVAS , P.E.T. Master , Veerapatra School .The students spoke on the
title “ Republic Day “ . All students , teachers and the members of he Shri
Vidya Niketan School & P.U.College were present and graced the occasion.
This year we have given 50 % discount in tution & bus fees for the
handicaped children and staff’s children. We help academically weaker students through free tution by our teachers before and after the school
hours.
Next very important thing is , this year the first batch of our X std students
will appear for the public examination, with high expectation. May the
almighty God help us with provide a better result to our students.
I am happy to announce that this year K.S. RAJESH VII, Std student won
maximum prizes. Our school felicitates his achievement with a special prize.
Today, the Annual Day celebration for the year 2006 – 07 is in progress. I
would like to express our gratitude on behalf of the teachers , office staff and
the students to our beloved Chairman of the school Dr. J. PERUMAL ,
M.B.A., Ph.D., our Administrator Mrs .GEETHA . I also express our gratitude
to Mr.VENKATESH & Mr. RAMAIAH , members of Shri Vidya Niketan School
& P.U.College for their good will in providing all the facilities to the welfare of
this Institution.
Also I thank on behalf of the school to management , colleagues , parents ,
students and well wishers for their valuable assistance , efforts and cooperation
to make this function a success.
